The Law Office of Bryan Fagan is proud to introduce Melvin Thathiah, an accomplished attorney with a rich background and a heart for helping others.

Melvin’s legal journey began with a Bachelor’s degree in English from Texas A&M University, followed by earning his Juris Doctor from the Florida Coastal School of Law. Since becoming licensed in Texas in 2005, he has expanded his expertise by being admitted to all four federal districts in Texas and federal court in Colorado.

Born in Durban, South Africa, and raised in Mesquite, Texas, Melvin has spent most of his life in the DFW area. His unique upbringing and global perspective are complemented by a deep-rooted commitment to his community. A member of The Heights Church, Melvin actively volunteers his time, including coaching youth sports and serving as a Board of Trustees Member for Lifepath Systems.

Outside the courtroom, Melvin enjoys spending quality time with his family: his wife Alyson, their two children, Taryn and Caleb, and their beloved dog, Sunny. Whether attending his kids’ sporting events, exploring the great outdoors, or enjoying a good country concert, Melvin’s vibrant personality shines through.

Inspired by a mentor during his high school years, Melvin entered the legal profession to guide and support others through challenging times. His dedication extends beyond his work, with a passion for causes such as cancer research and supporting children with Type 1 diabetes, both of which hold a special place in his heart.

Known for his honesty, extroverted nature, and unwavering positivity, Melvin is more than an attorney—he’s a trusted advocate and friend. He also dreams of one day traveling the world with his family, embracing new cultures and experiences.
